Welcome To Liberty Orchard in Vermont
Liberty Orchard is a family owned, pick your own orchard located in beautiful Brookfield Vermont. We specialize in Liberty and six other new disease-resistant varieties. While not organic, these new varieties allow us to significantly reduce the use of agricultural chemicals.
Lots of snow this past winter giving the trees plenty of time to wake up in the spring. Fortunately we did not get the forecasted frost the night before the grand opening of the new floating bridge and the bees did a great job. We anticipate that we will open Thursday afternoon September 24th this year and will continue open through Mid October. We think we have a great crop this year and may have apples till the third week in October. Be sure to check for updates as we get closer to harvest.

We are members of the Floating Bridge Food and Farm Coop and will again offer work shops at the orchard this fall. We will plan and announce our topics as the harvest season draws near. We will continue our programs for preschool, kindergarten and primary schools. Call after August 31st, 802-276-3161 to coordinate your group's visit. We also offer more scientific oriented programs about the soil, apples and growing food locally. Home school groups way want to coordinate a visit and we will taylor it to meet your needs. Have a great visit to the orchard, learn something new, and pick a few apples too.
We participate in the Vermont Food Bank Pick for Your Neighbor and the Apples to iPod promotion of the Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing, the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Vermont Hard Cider Company and Small Dog Electronics
